From country selection to export

Select a country. Bellman installs the country’s model archetype and headline calibration.
Review and change assumptions. Every input has units, bounds and plausibility guidance.
Auto Solve. Roster-country models use a Sims gensys / QZ rational-expectations solution path with Blanchard–Kahn diagnostics.
Inspect results. Review impulse responses, forecast fan charts, moments, variance decomposition and diagnostics.
Save, compare and export. Retain a versioned vintage and export to PDF, HTML, CSV, LaTeX, Quarto or Excel.

Important scope: current shipped results are calibrated, first-order model outputs. Data imports overlay historical series; they do not estimate the model. Fan-chart bands reflect model-implied future-shock uncertainty, not parameter uncertainty. See the Engine SOP for the full methodology and limitations.

Who uses DSGE modeling software?

Bellman is designed for academic researchers, graduate students, economic consultants and policy teams who understand macroeconomics but want a guided, documented workflow instead of starting each calibrated model from code.

Does Bellman DSGE run on Mac?

Yes. Bellman DSGE is native software for macOS 14 or later. A Windows version is in development.

Is Bellman DSGE an estimation platform?

Not in the current release. The shipped workflow is calibrated rather than Bayesian-estimated. The methodology documents which components ship and which remain on the roadmap.

Can I use it for a country not in the roster?

The product includes a generic starting template and supports institutional discussion about bespoke country calibration or module work. Contact sales to discuss the scope.

How do I assess the solver method?

Read the public Engine SOP and numerical validation note before relying on a result in research or policy work.
